Gladys is a hardworking 29-year-old mother who has two children. She completed secondary school class four but had to end her studies due to a lack of financial support from her family. She currently works as a farmer, and her husband recently started working as an assistant driver for a truck that belongs to one of their neighbors. Together, they live in their three-room mud house with their 5-year-old firstborn, who is in preschool, and their 3-year-old second-born. During her free time, Gladys enjoys visiting with her friends.
She and her husband are currently expecting her third child. Due to her previous deliveries, Gladys’ doctors have recommend that she deliver her new baby via a caesarean section. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both Gladys and her child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Gladys undergo a C-Section on July 7th. This procedure will cost $214, and Gladys needs your support.
Gladys says, “I hope and pray for a successful surgery with a good outcome. I will continue with farming to be in a better position to support my family as far as food provision is concerned.”
