Putheavy is a young woman from Cambodia. She has two brothers and two sisters. She likes to read, watch TV, listen to classical music, and go for walks.
One year ago, Putheavy was in a motor vehicle accident, and her right leg and ankle were compressed. She went to a clinic where they gave her a dressing and some painkillers. Ever since the accident, she has had difficulty waking and has ankle pain.
Putheavy developed a flexion contracture in her ankle and needs to undergo an operation to release the contracture. Surgery is scheduled for January 3 and will cost $417.
She says, “I hope I can walk easily again. I look forward to returning to school.”
