Elezar is 27 years old and a determined student from the Philippines. He is preparing for his first opportunity to work in Japan and is currently studying Japanese while relying on the support of his aunt and uncle to pursue his goals.
Three months ago. Elezar began to experience troubling symptoms, including abdominal discomfort. He was diagnosed with gallstones and has been advised to undergo a cholecystectomy, the surgical removal of the gallbladder. If left untreated, his symptoms will continue to worsen and put him at risk for further health complications in the future.
Elezar’s medical condition has affected his daily life, requiring dietary restrictions and careful management to prevent further complications. He worries that if left untreated, the condition could worsen and jeopardize his health and future employment opportunities.
After seeking treatment through our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines (WSFP), Elezar is scheduled to undergo a cholecystectomy on June 5th. A portion of the procedure’s cost is being covered by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and WSFP is raising the remaining $1,031 to cover the cost of Elezar’s surgery and care.
Elezar said, “This surgery gives me hope that I can continue my studies and achieve my dream of working in Japan. I look forward to being healthy, so I can support my family and build a better future.”
