77-year-old Sron of Cambodia has ten grandchildren and enjoys listening to the news on the radio. Recently Sron had an accident and sustained an injury to his hip.
“Three months ago, Sron fractured his hip when he fell off a chair,” our partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), tells us. “Since then he has been unable to walk and is in a lot of pain. Sron is completely dependent on his son to care for him and is unhappy that he is a burden on the family.”
Sron is in need of surgery to realign his fractured hip so it can heal properly, but he cannot afford this surgery on his own. $405 is the cost of treatment, which is expected to allow Sron to walk around and do things on his own without pain and difficulty. Let’s help Sron feel better and regain his independence!
