67-year-old Srun of Cambodia has mature cataracts in his both eyes. “He has had to stop doing his job as a noodle seller because he can’t see the toppings clearly and he can’t cook the noodles properly,” Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC) tells us. “Srun has eleven grandchildren whom he misses dearly.”
Srun is in need of cataract surgery to restore his vision – this will run at $150.
First Srun will undergo surgery for the cataract in his left eye and will ideally undergo surgery in his right eye the following week. “He looks forward to going back to his job and also planting bananas and mangoes in a garden near his house,” CSC says.
Let’s help Srun’s eyesight improve so he can get back to his routine and see clearly again.
