Say hello to Pha, a 59-year-old woman from Cambodia who is married with five children. “While she is at home, she likes to keep a clean house and cook meals for family,” explains our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre.
Pha was diagnosed with a mature cataract, or clouding of the lens, in her left eye. This condition has caused her vision to be so blurry that she cannot recognize faces anymore. Additionally, she cannot go anywhere by herself.

Pha is happy that she can help plant vegetables, papayas, and bananas on the farm and it will be easier to work on the rice farm, helping to earn more money to support her family.”
