Cesia is a newborn from central Guatemala. Her mother speaks K’iche, an increasingly rare indigenous Mayan language she hopes to teach her daughter one day.
Despite Cesia’s chubby cheeks, she is quickly losing weight and becoming malnourished. Her mother is incapable of producing enough milk for Cesia, who, like any newborn, is hungry around the clock and crying for more milk. Breastfeeding has never been an issue for Cesia’s experienced mother, so she asked the doctors at Wuqu’ Kawoq for help.
For $550, we can make sure Cesia’s mom can buy milk formula for six months to ensure her daughter’s proper growth and development. Let’s help Cesia grow up healthy!

Cesia received six months of milk formula to support her early development.
Cesia’s doctor says, “Mom is deeply grateful to Watsi donors for connecting across the miles and helping her in her time of need. Milk formula is unbelievably expensive in Guatemala and without Watsi’s help it would not have been possible to provide this support. Thank you.”
