Kon is a 65-year-old woman from Cambodia, and a loving mother to her four children and eight grandchildren.
“Kon is nearly partially blinded because of a cataract in her right eye,” explains our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC). “She can’t see the faces of her family and it is difficult for her to go outside unescorted.”
“Kon likes to keep her house clean and listens to monks pray in her free time,” continues CSC. “When she is done with surgery, she looks forward to going to the pagoda by herself, watching her grandchildren, and maybe planting some crops in a garden around her house.
Cataract surgery costs $150 and will provide Kon will clear vision in her right eye. Let’s help her regain her vision so she can be more independent!
