Bunny is a 44-year-old father of four from Cambodia. He lives with his wife and four children in Phnom Penh. Their youngest child is three, and the oldest is 22 years old. Bunny supports the family by working as a glass cutter in a local shop, while his oldest son recently got a job as a police cadet. In his free time, he enjoys exercising and spending time with his family.
Two years ago, Bunny fractured his heel bone on his right leg after falling down the stairs at home. He underwent surgery at a local hospital where hardware was implanted to unite the bones and heal the fracture. Although the fracture has healed, he experiences discomfort when walking and discharge from the old surgical wound.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On July 10th, Bunny will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which aims to eliminate the discomfort and heal the wound, allowing Bunny to walk more easily and carry out his daily activities. His family can contribute $100, but needs help to raise $278 more to fund his procedure and care.
Bunny shared, “I hope this surgery will let me walk pain-free so I can return to my normal life.”
