Jorgelis is a 10-year-old student from a town in Antioquia, Colombia. She is cheerful and intelligent, with a sweet energy that is contagious and leaves a special impression on everyone around her. Jorgelis dreams of becoming a great doctor when she grows up so she can help others. Since she was a few months old, Jorgelis has had an umbilical hernia, a condition in which a small portion of abdominal tissue protrudes through the navel. This condition causes discomfort or tenderness, especially when crying, coughing, or straining. The discomfort can also make it hard for kids to do everyday childhood activities, such as playing and jumping. If left untreated, there is a risk of developing future health complications. Jorgelis needs to undergo surgery to correct the hernia and prevent potential future complications. Fortunately, on May 28th, she will undergo repair surgery at our medical partner's care center. Once completed, this procedure will allow her to live more comfortably. Our medical partner, Clinica Noel, is requesting $1,005 to fund Jorgelis's surgery. Jorgelis's family shared: "We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has made this donation for the surgery possible. Marivic is a 53-year-old mother of two from the Philippines who loves taking long walks and doing household tasks. As a housewife, she dedicates her time to taking care of her family. Their eldest son is the breadwinner of the family, while her husband works as a tricycle driver. Marivic has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She can no longer do strenuous work or heavy lifting due to the size of her breast mass. It often causes her discomfort while moving or doing chores. Her doctor advised her to limit activities that could worsen her condition. Despite these challenges, Marivic remains hopeful that help will come. Without treatment, the cancer may spread to other organs. A mastectomy, a surgery to remove breast tissue, has been suggested to rid her body of breast cancer and to prevent the cancer from metastasizing. Fortunately, our medical partner World Surgical Foundation Philippines (WSFP) is helping Marivic receive treatment. She is scheduled to undergo a mastectomy on August 29th at Our Lady of Peace Hospital. A portion of the cost of her treatment is being supported by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and WSFP needs your help in raising $990 to cover the remaining cost. After treatment, Marivic will hopefully return to a cancer-free life. Marivic shared, "I am deeply grateful for the foundation’s help. Without this free surgery, I do not know when I would have received the treatment I need. This assistance has given me hope and eased the financial burden on my family."

Srey Pich is a is cheerful and active girl from Cambodia. She lives in Kompot Province with her parents, who are both rice farmers. She is the only child in the family. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her toys. Srey Pich was born with congenital pseudarthrosis of the right tibia caused by neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). The condition caused her right lower leg to bow and fracture easily. Although she underwent reconstructive surgeries in 2024 and 2025, she later fell and re-injured her right leg. The condition causes pain, deformity, and difficulty walking. It limits her ability to run, play, and participate in childhood activities, and she requires ongoing orthopedic treatment to protect her leg and maintain bone healing. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On July 16th, Srey Pich will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $600. This treatment will help stabilize her right leg, promote bone healing, improve her ability to walk safely, and allow her to continue growing and playing with greater confidence. Srey Pich's mother said, “Since she was born, we have worried about her leg and whether she would ever be able to walk normally. Seeing her take her first independent steps after surgery gave us so much hope. We pray this treatment will continue to strengthen her leg so she can keep walking, running, and enjoying her childhood like other children.”
