19-year-old Ronnah lives with her mother in a small village in Uganda. Our medical partner, the Kellermann Foundation, shares that Ronnah enjoys gardening and growing food to support her family.
Ronnah is pregnant for the second time. Due to complications during her previous pregnancy, her first child passed away. “Due to Ronnah having a recent C-section scar, she will deliver her current pregnancy by C-section as well,” the Kellermann Foundation adds.
In order to ensure a safe delivery of a healthy child, Ronnah is seeking medical care for the end of her pregnancy. For $303, Ronnah will receive a C-section and antenatal care. Ronnah is able to pay 25,000 Ugandan shillings, about $7, for her care.
After the safe delivery of her child, Ronnah wants to be able to support her small family. “Ronnah hopes to sell part of her food to raise money and send her child to school,” the Kellermann Foundation shares.
“I am grateful for everyone supporting safe deliveries,” says Ronnah. “All mothers would like to have a safe delivery, but at times we are hindered by not being able to afford the costs. May God bless you all.”
