Gershom is a two-month-old baby boy from Uganda. He is the second child of his parents, Carol and James. Carol takes care of the family’s household, while James has a small business in a neighboring village selling airtime for cell phones. Gershom’s grandmother, Susanna, often visits her grandchildren.
For two weeks, Gershom has been sick with fever, difficulty breathing, and a cough. He has been diagnosed with pneumonia and needs antibiotics. On March 8, Gershom will begin treatment for his pneumonia at our medical partner’s care center, Bwindi Community Hospital. Our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, is asking for $106 to cover the cost of Gershom’s medication and labs.
“We would like to thank all the donors helping my grandson,” says Susanna. “It is such a blessing to have the hospital close by and to have generous people willing to help.”
