Enrile is 57 years old and a father of three from the Philippines. Enrile works as a houseparent in a social development center in his city. He is the main provider for his wife and three children. His eldest son is currently looking for a job to help him with the family’s expenses, and his other children are still studying.
One year ago, Enrile began to experience troubling symptoms, including abdominal pain radiating through his back. His condition has had a significant impact on his life, particularly on his ability to work. Enrile was diagnosed with gallstones and has been advised to undergo a cholecystectomy, the surgical removal of the gallbladder. If left untreated, his symptoms will continue to worsen and put her at risk for further health complications in the future.
After seeking treatment through our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines (WSFP), Enrile is scheduled to undergo a cholecystectomy on February 8th. A portion of the cost of the procedure is being supported by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and WSFP is raising the remaining $1,031 to cover the cost of Enrile’s surgery and care.
Enrile shared, “I am deeply grateful for the individuals and foundations that offer assistance to people in need. These programs provide a significant relief, helping families like mine to manage our financial burdens more effectively.”
