Pisey is a 14-year-old student with one older brother. Pisey is in 7th grade and her best subject at school is reading. She lives with her parents who sell groceries from their home. In her free time, Pisey enjoys reading books.
Two weeks ago, Pisey developed a chalazion in her right eye, causing her swelling, burning, and itchiness. A chalazion is an inflamed cyst in a patient’s tear gland. It is difficult for Pisey to see clearly and study.
Pisey traveled to seek treatment from our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre. On September 1st, surgeons will remove the cyst through a chalazion excision procedure. After recovery, Pisey’s symptoms should improve. Her family needs help raising $187 to fund this procedure.
Pisey said, “I hope my eye gets better soon so I can study well and do not worry about my eye anymore.”
