Sandira is a 5-year-old girl whose arm was burned in a fire. Because of a burn contracture, she can no longer use her right hand. She is unable to hold a pencil, draw, or even hold a cup.
Sandira’s burn contracture developed as her damaged skin tightened and restricted movement in her burned area. Quality burn treatment is rare in Tanzania, and financially out of reach for Sandira’s family. But without proper medical care, her injury will result in a life-long disability.
For $500, African Mission Healthcare Foundation can to make sure that doesn’t happen. With surgery, they believe they can restore movement to Sandira’s hand. Let’s help Sandira get the surgery she needs to have a chance at a normal life!
