Choronai is a fourth grade student from Cambodia. She has two older sisters. She likes studying the Khmer language and hopes to be a surgeon when she grows up. She likes riding her bicycle.
Choronai has strabismus in left eye. Strabismus is a misalignment of the eye caused by injury or dysfunction in the associated nerves and muscles. She has blurred vision and cannot see things that are far away.
Choronai traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On March 7, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), will perform a corrective procedure to align her eyes. Now, Choronai needs help to raise $292 to fund this procedure.
Her mother says, “I worry that my daughter cannot see and cannot study because of this.”
