Ny Sa is a five-year-old girl from Cambodia. She has one younger sister, and likes to play with her toy cars and watch television while at home.
Two months ago, Ny Sa developed a cataract in her right eye, causing her blurry vision. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Ny Sa learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for four and a half hours seeking treatment. On June 13, doctors will perform lensectomy and an intraocular lens implant in her right eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
Her mother says, “I hope that my daughter’s surgery will allow her to see clearly again, so she can return to school and play with her friends.”
