Meet Chreang! Chreang is a hard-working 14-year-old schoolboy from rural Cambodia.
After crossing paths with an unforgiving ox cart that accidentally knocked him over, he now lives with a debilitating open wound on his scalp that causes him severe pain and is keeping him from returning to school. His open wound is untreatable by the local clinic.
For $300, we can fund Chreang’s urgent surgical repair at the larger local hospital where they will successfully close his wound and provide treatment in order to prevent any infections down the line. Chreang hasn’t been to school since his accident and says he, “really wants to go back!”

Chreang received surgical care to repair a scalp wound.
“Chreang is doing great,” our hospital partner writes. “He recently came back for a follow-up appointment, and his doctor says the wound is 100% healed. He can continue school pain free and without risk of complications and infections.”
