Pauline is a 27-year-old mother from rural Uganda. She works as a nursing assistant at a local health unit. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball with community members and learning how to cook new dishes. She has one very active son and likes to play with him and her husband in the evenings.
Pauline has an ovarian cyst that has brought her lower abdominal pain and back aches for the past six months. It has made it difficult for her to work and play with her son.
Pauline’s doctor recommended doing a laparotomy to have the cyst removed. Our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, is requesting $307 to fund Pauline’s surgery.
After a successful surgery and recovery, Pauline looks forward to going back to work and playing sports again in her free time.
Pauline says, “I very much appreciate the support from the donors and well-wishers that are contributing their resources for the needy people to access such life changing surgeries. And may God bless you abundantly.”
