Anil is 10-years-old and loves playing football with his classmates. He lives with his parents and three siblings in Nepal where he spends his free time going on adventures. Anil’s adventures have been put on a hold by a recent fall onto his hands which fractured both bones of his left forearm.
Anil normally tends to his family’s cattle while his father tends to crops and his mother works as a day laborer. Since his injury, Anil has not been able to tend to cattle, go to school, or even eat and sleep. His mother says, “It’s for these children that we work so hard. My only wish is to see him back in football field with his friends.”
For $205, Anil will have his arm put in a cast to immobilize the bones and allow them to heal. After his arm heals Anil will be able to return to school, play with his friends, and help his parents around the house!
