Ly is 18 years old and in the twelfth grade. He has three sisters and two brothers. In his free time, he likes to play soccer, read school books, and listen to songs.
Recently, Ly fell on his hand and sustained a fracture in his left forearm. He had limited flexion of his left elbow. He visited a Khmer traditional healer for treatment, but his symptoms did not improve. Ly was in pain, and he had difficulty using his left arm.
When Ly learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), he traveled for four hours with his mother to seek treatment. On November 22, CSC surgeons performed an open reduction internal fixation procedure to heal his fracture.
After recovery, Ly should be able to use his arm again. Now, his family needs help to fund this $411 procedure.
