Arya is an adorable girl from Cambodia. The youngest of four children, Arya lives with her family in a small village near the border with Thailand.
Arya was born with a hand deformity that will make things like school and work difficult for her as she grows up. Physicians have advised that Arya have a procedural amputation and skin graft of the polydactyl (extra) thumb on her right hand. With proper treatment, surgeons can effectively reconstruct her hand, providing improved function and mobility and ensuring her healthy development.
Times are tough financially for Arya’s family and they are unable to afford Arya’s surgery alone. Her mother took off work farming to seek treatment for Arya. Let’s do what we can today to provide Arya with a life full of opportunities tomorrow!
