Meet Draditza, a 34-year-old mother to three young children from Guatemala’s rural highlands. Draditza is a homemaker, and she supports her family by selling cosmetic products.
Draditza has struggled with her eyesight for many years but could not afford to get her eyes checked. Draditza recently visited a free clinic, where she was diagnosed with myopia, or nearsightedness. This means Draditza has difficulty seeing faraway objects.
Our medical partner, Wuqu’ Kawoq, has arranged for Draditza to be fitted with prescription glasses on June 8. These glasses will cost $552 and will enable Draditza to see clearly and comfortably again.
“I am very grateful to you all. You are angels for helping me,” says Draditza.

Draditza received prescription glasses.
With the aid of Watsi funding, Draditza has received glasses to correct her vision. She no longer experiences problems with his eyesight, and does not struggle with blurry vision or seeing faraway objects. We are confident that Draditza will continue using her glasses, and that they will help her in every aspect of her life.
