Meet Draditza, a 34-year-old mother to three young children from Guatemala’s rural highlands. Draditza is a homemaker, and she supports her family by selling cosmetic products.
Draditza has struggled with her eyesight for many years but could not afford to get her eyes checked. Draditza recently visited a free clinic, where she was diagnosed with myopia, or nearsightedness. This means Draditza has difficulty seeing faraway objects.
Our medical partner, Wuqu’ Kawoq, has arranged for Draditza to be fitted with prescription glasses on June 8. These glasses will cost $552 and will enable Draditza to see clearly and comfortably again.
“I am very grateful to you all. You are angels for helping me,” says Draditza.
