Martin is a farmer from Malawi. Martin lives with his wife and they have six grown children. When not tending his land, Martin raises goats to supplement the family income. When he has downtime, Martin likes to sit and talk with his grandchildren and his children.
For two years, Martin has had an inguinal hernia. This hernia causes Martin pain, and the protrusion makes it difficult for him to work and live normally. Fortunately, on December 5, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at Nkhoma Hospital, our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, World Altering Medicine, is requesting $334 to fund Martin’s surgery. The requested money pays for supplies, medications, and six nights of hospital stay. Martin was so happy to learn his surgery would be funded. He is looking forward to going home well and caring for his animals and his land pain-free.
He says, “Thank you!”
