Jeronimo is a little boy from Colombia. He lives in Támesis, Antioquia with his parents. He is curious and intelligent, full of dreams and eager to get ahead. Jeronimo was diagnosed with a birth defect in a sensitive area. If left untreated, Jeronimo has an increased risk of developing hernias, testicular cancer, and fertility problems in the future. Knowing of these future complications has been difficult for Jeronimo's family, especially given their financial circumstances. The opportunity to receive care would represent an immense blessing for their family and new hope for Jeronimo's future. Fortunately, Jeronimo will be receiving assistance from our medical partner, Clinica Noel. He is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on February 24th. Clinica Noel is requesting $1,167 to cover the cost of his procedure and care. His parents shared that they hope treatment will significantly transform Jeronimo's quality of life. Jeronimo's mother expresses her gratitude for the support, saying, "I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every person who has supported my son. Rabiya is a 19-year-old bright and determined university student from Ethiopia. Rabiya shares that being in university is a truly exciting chapter of her life. Between her university studies and being a rock for her two brothers, she stays incredibly busy. But lately, a cyst on her left wrist has been causing her much discomfort. Five months ago, Rabiya felt a sudden, distracting tingling and itchy sensation in the wrist. What started as minor swelling quickly took a turn for the worse; within just a month, the discomfort transitioned into severe, persistent pain. For a busy college student, the pain is affecting even the simplest tasks. Typing up a paper, scribbling notes during a lecture, or carrying heavy textbooks across campus became difficult, which has affected her studies. Rabiya traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On March 14th, surgeons will perform an excisional biopsy to remove the mass. Now, Rabiya needs help to raise $750 to fund this procedure. She says: "More than anything, I’m looking forward to the freedom of moving my wrist without a second thought. I can’t wait to dive back into my studies and my role as a sister, fully present and pain-free."

Sroeurn is a 56-year-old man from Kratie Province in Cambodia. He and his wife have two children. Sroeurn's wife sells biscuits, and he often helps her with her work and around the home. Their oldest child sells groceries, and their youngest repairs cars. One month ago, Sroeurn slipped and fell at home and experienced spinal deformity and lower back pain as a result. Since the injury, it has been difficult for him to walk and perform daily activities, making him increasingly dependent on his family. When seeking treatment from a traditional Khmer therapist and taking medication did not improve his condition, Sroeurn was referred to our medical partner, Children's Surgical Center (CSC), for treatment. Fortunately, CSC can help Sroeurn receive the care he needs. On April 8th, he will undergo a hip hemiarthroplasty procedure, during which the surgeons will operate on his left hip to stabilize the fracture, relieve his pain, and restore his ability to walk. This surgery offers Sroeurn physical healing as well as the opportunity to regain his independence, rebuild his strength, and return to his daily life with renewed hope. Sroeurn's family contributed $50 to his care and need help raising $662 more to fund the cost of his surgery. Sroeurn said, "Since my fall, I've had constant lower back pain and trouble walking. The treatments I tried didn't help, and I hope further care will improve my condition and help me move normally again."
