Sokny is a 61-year-old woman from Cambodia who lives with her sister and niece. She is not married and her family relies on one another for support. Her sister, now 80 years old, also requires care, and her niece does what she can to help support the household. Despite their combined efforts, they face ongoing financial hardship and daily challenges. In her free time, Sokny find comfort in listening to monks pray. About ten years ago, Sokny noticed a cyst on her neck. It has grown over time and now experiences ongoing pain and discomfort. She did not seek treatment earlier due to financial constraints, but now it has become a constant burden in her daily life. Sokny traveled to our medical partner's care center for evaluation. On March 18th, surgeons at Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), will remove the mass. Sokny needs help to raise $319 to cover the cost of this procedure. She said, “I have lived with this growing pain for ten years, and all I hope for now is a chance to be treated and live without suffering.”

Eyu is a calm and sociable eight-year-old boy from Ethiopia. He is very talented in football and dreams of one day becoming a priest. He lives with his parents and his older brother in a rental house. His mother works as a teacher, while his father is currently unemployed. About six years ago, Eyu was unwell and when he was taken to hospital, he was diagnosed with cryptorchidism, a condition in which one or both of the testicles remains undescended. His parents were advised that he needed surgery, but he needed to be a bit older. Recently, his parents once again took him to hospital and were placed on a waiting list for surgery. Shortly after, they received a referral call to our medical partner's care center, BethanyKids Myungsung Christian Medical Centre (BKMCM). Eyu is receiving assistance from our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH). He is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on May 19th, and AMH is requesting $754 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care. If the condition is left untreated, Eyu has an increased risk of developing hernias, testicular cancer, and fertility problems in the future. Eyu's father says, "I thank God for the support we are getting for our son's surgery. I am also so happy to feel welcome at BKMCM. Please continue providing such high-quality care, you are truly the face of Christ in your service. Thank you, and God bless you all.”

Salimu is a 22-year-old young man from Malawi, who lives with and cares for his mother. He has an older brother who cares for their younger brother, who is currently in Form 4. Following his parents' separation when he was in secondary school, Salimu dropped out of school due to a lack of school fees, and joined his mother in selling second-hand clothes. He presently works in a film show room, earning about $20 per month - barely enough to support the household. In late 2025, Salimu was diagnosed with a right inguinal hernia, a condition that occurs when abdominal tissue protrudes through a weak spot in the lower abdominal muscles, causing a bulge in the groin area. He has been experiencing swelling episodes that have continued to worsen, significantly impacting his daily activities and ability to work. Surgery has been recommended, and he is hopeful that it will restore his health and enable him to resume his role in supporting his mother and contributing meaningfully to the household. However, Salimu is unable to afford the treatment costs. Fortunately, on April 9th, Salimu will undergo hernia repair surgery with the help of our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare. He is able to contribute towards the cost of his treatment, but still needs help raising an additonal $575 to fund the procedure. Salimu says, "As a young man, I humbly seek your support for medical treatment, so that I can continue supporting my mother."
