Meet Meng Kheang, a 14-year-old boy living in Cambodia with his two older sisters! He loves playing with his friends and going to school, but a recent accident has kept him from being able to do these things.
“Last month, Meng Kheang was in a moto accident that left him with a tibia spine fracture… He cannot walk or run, cannot play with his friends as 14-year-old boys like to do, and he is constantly in pain,” our partners at Children’s Surgical Centre tell us.
“Meng Kheang is in school, but recently has stopped going because he cannot focus on his studies while he is in such pain.” It will take $405 to fund the open reduction and internal fixation surgery Meng Kheang needs to recover from this leg injury. His doctors expect that this surgery will allow him to walk pain free.
Lets come together to get Meng Kheang back in school and living his life pain free!

Meng Kheang received treatment to repair his tibial spine fracture.
Meng Kheang underwent his open reduction and internal fixation surgery without any complications, freeing him from the constant pain he was experiencing after his moto accident. Doctors successfully opened the area around the broken bone and realigned the ends using metal hardware.
Unfortunately, our medical partner was unable to reach Meng Kheang for post-surgery follow-up. Therefore, Children’s Surgical Centre did not obtain a photo of Meng Kheang in recovery to pass along to Watsi donors.
