Kob is a 67-year-old fisherman from Cambodia. He has three sons, three daughters, and twenty grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys visiting the local temple to pray.
One year ago, Kob developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him tearing, pain, and blurry vision. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Kob learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for three and a half hours seeking treatment. On December 11th, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He shared, “I hope that I will be able to see clearly again so I can return to the temple.”
