Met has hypermature cataracts in both his eyes, leading to blurred vision. Cataracts are clouding of the normally clear eye lens. His condition has affected his mobility and temperament.
For $225, we can fund surgery that will restore Met’s vision in both his eyes and allow him to regain his independence.
CSC shares that after surgery, Met hopes to be able to walk on his own, go to the pagoda, and help his family harvest mangoes at their home.

Met received surgery to restore his vision.
“Met can see everything clearly now. He can now cook and care for his family, visit the pagoda, and work,” shares our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC). “He can help clean around the home, plant some crops, and go anywhere outside by himself.”
