Biryomumeisho is a 68-year-old man and a father of 15 children. He shared that he has a lot on his shoulders due to the size of his family, but has managed to educate a few of his children through farming. His oldest child is now 41 years old, while his youngest is ten years old and in primary school. One of his children recently graduated, but has not yet found employment. He owns a four-room permanent house and works hard to find different types of business and work whenever he can.
Seven years ago, Biryomumeisho developed a small swelling on the right side of his face that progressively increased in size with on and off pain. At a local hospital, he was diagnosed with a dermoid cyst. If not treated, pain could persist and continue increasing in size. However, he cannot afford the surgery charges for treatment.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is helping Biryomumeisho receive treatment. He visited AMH’s care center and on May 14th, surgeons will finally remove the mass. Now, Biryomumeisho needs help to raise $145 to fund this procedure.
Biryomumeisho shared, “I pray that I may get well through surgery as I look forward to resuming farming for further my family’s development.”
