ChanThim is a farmer from Cambodia. He has two sisters and four brothers. He likes to play football and read books.
One year ago, he was playing football with friends when he fell and fractured his right tibia. He went to an emergency clinic in Battambang, where they fixated hardware to heal his fracture. Now, the hardware is infected. It is difficult for him to walk and he is in chronic pain.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On August 8, ChanThim will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $214. This procedure will help him regain mobility.
He says, “I hope after the surgery I can easily walk and I won’t be in pain anymore.”
