Evas is a 48-year-old woman hailing from Southwestern Uganda. She and her husband work as farmers. They have four children, all of whom live on their own now. Evas and her husband grow food to eat at home and trade any surplus for basic things they need.
For two years, Evas has been experiencing lower abdominal and back pain. She has been diagnosed with multiple uterine myoma, and after visiting a local health center, surgery was recommended. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, or a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is helping Evas receive treatment. On February 8th, she will undergo gynecological surgery at AMH's care center. Once recovered, Evas will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain. Now, she needs help raising $219 to fund her procedure and care.
Evas shared, "I am looking forward to receiving my treatment because I have done all I could, but the money I need for surgery is really too much."
