Meet Hannah, a 40-year-old mother from Kenya! Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF), tells us, “Hannah is married with three children. She and her husband are both subsistence farmers growing crops mainly for their own consumption.” They sell what little is left over “to enable them to educate their children and to meet their daily needs.”
Recently, Hannah has been experiencing heavy, prolonged, and irregular menstruation due to uterine fibroids, or growths in her uterus. Without the proper treatment, her fibroids will continue growing, affecting adjacent body organs.
"This condition has made Hannah shy away from the community, and it is affecting her psychologically," sayd AMHF. For $790, Hannah will receive a hysterectomy, which will remove the growths and allow her to recover fully.
“I am still young and my children need my support, I hope to get support so that I can get well and be able to care for them,'' Hannah says. Let’s help Hannah get back to what she loves best!
