Abdulahab is a baby from Kenya. He is the only child to his young parents. His mother is a full-time mom, while his father sells small household items at his shop. Abdulahab was born with an anorectal malformation, a congenital abnormality that leads to a complete or partial intestinal blockage. He needs to undergo a series of procedures to eliminate bowel dysfunction. Abdulahab is scheduled to undergo surgery to correct his condition on September 10. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $1,327 to cover the total cost of Abdulahab's procedure and care. After his recovery, Abdulahab will no longer experience bowel dysfunction or be at risk of developing health complications in the future.

Baby is a playful child from Ethiopia. He is the first born to his family, and his mother is now expecting their second child. He loves to watch animated movies. He also loves to play with his parents and other babies. Baby was born with hypospadias, a congenital abnormality that causes urinary dysfunction. Without treatment, he will continue to experience uncomfortable symptoms and will be at risk of infertility. Fortunately, Baby is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on August 30. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $1,231 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care. Baby's mother says “Since we are financially unable to cover the cost for the hospital cost, we were worried. We are grateful for this opportunity. If not for this support our child won’t get hope of surgery.”

Sonita is a fourth grader from Cambodia. She has two sisters and one brother. She loves to watch cartoons, read textbooks, and play games on her phone. In April 2018, Sonita fell off her bicycle and fractured her left elbow. She is in chronic pain, and she has difficulty using her left elbow. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On July 10, Sonita will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $430. This procedure will help her regain mobility in her arm and elbow. She says, "I hope my arm doesn't hurt after surgery and I can return to school."
