Ruth is a farmer from a village in Malawi. She lives with her husband, six children, and three grandchildren. Ruth farms maize and groundnuts and takes care of her household duties. Six months ago, Ruth began to experience painful symptoms in a sensitive area. She became unable to help on the farm. She underwent a hysterectomy surgery at our medical partner's hospital, Nkhoma District Hospital. Her family needs help to fund this $643 procedure. Ruth is hoping to return to her farm soon.

Surja is a 40-year-old woman living in Nepal. She has been dealing with uterine prolapse for the last five years, a painful condition which prevents her pelvic muscles from providing adequate support for her uterus.
