Fides hopes to one day get married and have children. At 27 years old, she is thinking a lot about her future, and is hopeful despite some challenges. Fides was born with a rare condition in her digestive tract that has produced an abnormal connection (called a fistula) in her reproductive tract. As a result, Fides has struggled to find a husband and, without a surgery, will not be able to have children. A $1,000 surgery will reverse Fides' condition and allow her to lead the healthy, productive life she deserves, enabling her to be an excellent wife and mother.
