Meet Paru, a 30-year-old woman from Nepal. Paru recently had the unfortunate luck of falling from a tree while gathering fodder for her cattle. She said she could hear a bone in her foot snap into two. The open fracture is putting Paru at risk of infection, malunion, and osteomyelitis.
Paru and her husband have four children ranging from ten-months-old to nine-years-old. The family earns a living through agriculture, which only yields for part of the year, so Paru's husband has to also go to India to work as a manual laborer. He heard about Paru's fracture and will be returning home, causing further financial burden on the family.
Let's raise the $1040 needed to surgically treat Paru's fracture, get her back on her feet, and get her family back on track.
