Mea Gul is a four-year-old boy from Cambodia. He has one sister, two brothers, and enjoys watching television and playing games with his siblings. Four days ago, Mea Gul was playing with his friends and shortly after started experiencing ear pain in his right ear. His mother tried to remove the object from his ear, which looks like a small stone, but was unsuccessful. He is now experiencing ear pain, fullness, and itchiness in his ear. Mea Gul traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On August 2, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), will remove the mass. Now, Mea Gul needs help to raise $220 to fund this procedure. His mother says, "I hope that my son will be able to recover from surgery and I will no longer have to worry about his condition."

Srey Nith is a 15-year-old aspiring dancer from Cambodia. She has six sisters and likes to watch TV and relax. When she was nine, Srey Nith had an ear infection. This infection caused the tympanic membrane, or the ear drum, in her left ear to perforate. For this reason, Srey Nith experiences tinnitus, hearing loss, and ear discharge. She has difficulty going about her daily tasks and no longer goes to school. Srey Nith traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On February 7, she will undergo a myringoplasty procedure in her left ear. During this procedure, surgeons will close the perforation. Our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, is requesting $423 to fund this procedure. This covers medications, supplies, and inpatient care. Her mother says, "I hope that after surgery, my daughter will feel better and will be very happy."

Sok is a first grade student from Cambodia. She has two younger brothers. She likes to paint and draw. Sok has strabismus in both eyes. Strabismus is a misalignment of the eye caused by injury or dysfunction in the associated nerves and muscles. It is difficult for her to see clearly. Sok traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On November 2, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), will perform a corrective procedure to align her eyes. Now, Sok needs help to raise $292 to fund this procedure. Her father says, "I worry about my daughter's vision and hope it can be improved."

Paul is a young boy and the fifth in a family of six children. He is playful and very social. His parents are planning to enroll him in school next year. Paul was born with a malformation of his left leg, which was caused by the amniotic band wrapping around it and preventing blood flow during development. His parents were advised to let him grow for a few years before undergoing surgery. Now, on October 11, Paul is scheduled to undergo an amputation, which is going to enable him to use a prosthetic leg. His family needs help raising $1,035 to fund this procedure. His father says, “We wish to get the needed surgery for our son so that he can be able to use a prosthetic leg and be able to walk to school like other children, but we are unable to afford the cost of the surgery. Please help us.”
