"I want to be a teacher," eight-year-old Felista said, "but the headaches make it hard for me to concentrate in school." The headaches Felista is experiencing are caused by a tumor in her skull that is putting pressure on her brain. Felista's family, who live in Kenya, are unable to pay for the necessary surgery that will remove the brain tumor. Felista's mother is a farm worker and her father is unemployed, and despite their best efforts, they cannot afford the surgery on their own. For $1,500, we can fund Felista's craniotomy, and she will likely no longer experience the headaches she has now. Felista dreams of a day when she will no longer experience these headaches and can begin working towards becoming a teacher. Let's get Felista the funding she and her family needs!

Rahel is a 45-year-old woman living in Ethiopia. She works on a farm with her husband where they grow both regular and sweet potatoes to support their family. Rahel has five children, the youngest being only three-months-old. The oldest children attend the local government school. Last year, Rahel was diagnosed with breast cancer. The lump in her breast and the associated symptoms are worsening to the point where she can not work on the farm anymore. And even more important, Rahel is having a hard time providing her three-month-old child with the proper nutrition due to her condition. For $350, we can help Rahel receive a radical mastectomy. There is a chance this will completely cure her, but if the tumor has spread elsewhere it may only help with the pain and prevent local re-occurrence. Let's give Rahel the chance to fight her cancer!
