Hong is a rice farmer from Cambodia. He has two sons, three daughters, and ten grandchildren. He likes to listen to monks praying on the radio.
Two weeks ago, Hong developed a cataract in his left eye, causing him blurry vision and irritation. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Hong learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, he traveled for four hours seeking treatment. On January 7, doctors will perform an intra-capsular cataract extraction and an intraocular lens implant in his left eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
He says, "I hope I can spend time at the local pagoda and spend time with my grandchildren."
