Vandy is a twelfth-grade student from Cambodia. He enjoys playing soccer, listening to music, and hanging out with his friends. He hopes to become a police officer when he gets older.
In June 2019, Vandy was in a severe motorcycle accident that fractured his left leg. He went for treatment at a referral hospital where doctors fixed Vandy with internal hardware to heal his fracture. Now, a nail from the hardware has broken, leaving him with pain and discomfort.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On November 19th, Vandy will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $214. Surgery will remove the hardware and ensure that Vandy can move and walk again with ease and comfort.
Vandy said, "I hope that I will feel better soon and no longer have any pain so I can return to my studies."
