Junior is a young student from Tanzania. He loves playing football and goign to school very much. Junior lives with his mother and four siblings in a rented house in eastern Tanzania. His mother does her best to support her family and does odd jobs including laundry, cleaning, and hair styling. Since he was about five months old, Junior has had an umbilical hernia. The hernia causes Junior pain and discomfort, which often prevents him from attending school. Fortunately, on February 21, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner's care center. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $539 to fund Junior's surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably. Junior’s mother says, “I will be very happy and thankful to see Junior get treated because he will be able to attend school as it should be and succeed in his life.”

Geoffrey is a 64-year-old farmer from Uganda. Geoffrey is a husband, father, and grandfather. He loves to tell stories to his young grandchildren about hunting and fishing when he was younger. In his free time, he also enjoys visiting with friends and listening to medical programs on the radio. Recently, Geoffrey's prostate gland began to swell and the pain has rapidly increased. After visiting our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, it was recommended that his prostate be removed to decrease his pain and restore full mobility. Geoffrey is now scheduled to undergo prostate removal surgery on June 3. Although Geoffrey was able to contribute $7 to the cost of his procedure, he is still in need of $314 to cover the rest of the expenses. “Please tell the donors thank you from me," says Geoffrey. "I will ask God to bless them in all that they do.”

Jolly is a 46-year-old woman living in Uganda with her husband and six children. She enjoys weaving tablecloths, works as a subsistence farmer to feed her family, and grows coffee to sell for additional income. For the past seven years, Jolly has been experiencing uncomfortable gynecological problems which have caused her severe pain and discomfort. To treat her condition, doctors have recommended a total vaginal hysterectomy. Jolly's symptoms have made it difficult for her to work, which has been very hard on her and her family. Our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, is requesting $321 to fund Jolly's hysterectomy, which is scheduled for May 26. Jolly is excited to have her surgery so she can get back to supporting her family. She would like to tell donors how much she appreciates the help they have her given her.

Cynthia is a quiet four-year-old girl from Kenya. In September 2016, Cynthia was playing with her younger sister when she fell in hot water and burned her leg and stomach. She spent about six months in the hospital being dressed and getting skin grafting, but that was not enough. After that, her family approached our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF). Doctors recommended a skin graft and debridement, or the removal of damaged tissue. AMHF requests $1,129 to help Cynthia and her family cover various aspects of her treatment, such as the surgery, medical supplies, medication, and 14 nights at the hospital. Treatment will cost $1,129. “I pray my child will be well and have peace of mind," says Cynthia’s mother.
