Meet Daniel, a 47-year-old man from rural Uganda. Daniel is a farmer, growing grains to feed his family and coffee to earn money for his children’s school fees. Much of Daniel’s free time is spent teaching his children farming skills after they return home from classes for the day. For fifteen years, Daniel has lived in pain due to a hernia in his left groin region. His discomfort has grown to the point where he can no longer dig in his fields to harvest coffee. This directly interferes with his ability to earn money for his family. Furthermore, the hernia could develop potentially fatal complications if left untreated. Although in the past Daniel has not been able to afford the hernia repair operation he needs, your donation will allow him to finally undergo this life-saving procedure on August 8. By raising $229, we will sponsor his surgery, as well as his lab tests, medications, and five-day hospital stay. After his operation, Daniel is looking forward to resuming digging so that he can continue supporting his family. Let’s ensure that his children can sleep soundly once more with the knowledge that their father is healthy.

Ndyanabo is a 57-year-old retired carpenter from Uganda. For the last two months, Ndyanabo has developed a swelling in a sensitive area. Ndyanabo reports that it continues to grow in size, and prevents him from lifting heavy items. Doctors have now diagnosed Ndyanabo with having a hydrocele. On July 6, Ndyanabo will undergo a surgical procedure to remove the hydrocele. It is expected that the swelling will disappear and that Ndyanabo's quality of life will improve. As Ndyanabo lives by himself and has no children, he needs our help to pay for his medical bill. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is asking for $139 in donations.

Karwemera is a 68-year-old married man from Uganda. He and his wife have 11 children and work as small-scale farmers in order to pay for school fees and family necessities. The recent drought has unfortunately affected crop yields and has placed financial strain upon Karwemera's family. For a long period of time, Karwemera has had an occasional swelling in his right inguinal region that was recently diagnosed as an inguinal hernia. Hernia repair surgery is needed in order to reduce Karwemera's pain and minimize the risk of an obstructed hernia developing. In the case of such a life-threatening hernia, the blood supply to Karwemera's intestines and surrounding tissues could be completely cut off. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $219 to cover the cost of Karwemera's surgery. The procedure is scheduled to take place on June 27 and, once completed, will hopefully relieve Karwemera of his symptoms and of the danger of his condition worsening. “Thank you very much for helping me because I could not afford to pay for the surgery.
