Meet Anna from Kenya. She is 43 years old and has two young children. She is a single mother and supports her family by doing laundry and babysitting. Anna shares with our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF), that she lost a significant amount of weight and has been frequently sick over the last couple of years. Doctors have now diagnosed Anna with a multinodular goiter and have recommended her for thyroid surgery. AMHF has arranged for this to take place on October 11. "I am facing a lot of financial and health challenges right now," says Anna. Let's help Anna by raising $641 for her thyroidectomy.

Yong is a baby from Cambodia. He loves toy cars. Yong has ptosis in his left eye. Ptosis occurs when the eyelid droops over the eye. It can reduce vision and cause headaches. Yong traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On November 6, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), will perform an eyelid correction procedure to improve his vision. Now, Yong needs help to raise $292 to fund this procedure. His father says, "I hope my son can get better."

Ruth is a 14-year-old student who lives in Haiti with her mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoys going to school and to church, and Ruth would like to study to become a nurse. Ruth suffers from mitral regurgitation, which she contracted from a rheumatic fever several years ago. With this condition, blood leaks backward into the left atrium and could result in heart failure if not treated. Our medical partner, Haiti Cardiac Alliance, is requesting $1,343 to fund Ruth's air transport to the Cayman Islands, where her treatment is scheduled to take place on July 5. Once there, Ruth will receive the care that she needs and will hopefully be able to live more comfortably. "I am a little scared of my surgery, but I know that God will protect me and make everything go well," says Ruth.
