Sazalia is a 40-year-old farmer and mother of five from Malawi. She spends her free time cooking, collecting water, and washing clothes.
For the past two years, Sazalia has experienced abdominal pain. At times, she has been unable to work.
On November 1, she underwent a hysterectomy surgery at our medical partner's hospital, Nkhoma District Hospital. She is optimistic about recovery. Her sister, who accompanied her to the hospital, is eager for Sazalia to be well again. Now, she needs help to fund this $643 procedure.
"I am thankful for Watsi," says Sazalia. "I don't have the money to pay for this surgery, so this is a blessing."
