This is Khin San, a 42-year-old woman living in Burma. A few months ago, Khin San had surgery to remove an ovarian cyst. She now has an incisional hernia, caused by an unhealed wound from a previous surgery. It causes sharp, stabbing pain, and she needs surgery to remove it.
Khin San’s husband works as a day laborer, earning about $130 a month. The work is inconsistent, and he has had to take time off to care for Khin San since she has been in and out of the hospital. The local church has done a great deal to support the family with bills and medical expenses, and they are very connected to their faith. They say they are now relying on prayer to help them through this difficult time.
The surgery Khin San needs costs $1,000. Once she undergoes treatment, doctors expect that she will return to life as normal, in good health. Let’s help Khin San get healthy!
