Ronny is a young boy from Kenya. He was born with hypospadias, a congenital abnormality that causes urinary dysfunction. Without treatment, he will continue to experience uncomfortable symptoms and will be at risk of infertility. Fortunately, Ronny is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on July 2. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $700 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care. “We travelled all the way from Kericho with a spark of hope that our son will get help,” says Ronny’s father.

Piseth is a 25-year-old construction worker from Cambodia. He has two daughters, one son, and enjoys watching Chinese dramas on television. Three years ago, Piseth developed a cataract in his right eye, causing him blurry vision and pain. He has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside. When Piseth learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, he traveled for one a half hours seeking treatment. On July 3, doctors will perform a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in his right eye. After recovery, he will be able to see clearly. Now, he needs help to fund this $211 procedure. He says, "I hope that after my surgery, I will be able to see without any problems and can go back to work."

Joseph is a baby from Kenya. He was diagnosed with cryptorchidism, a condition in which one or both of the testicles remains undescended. If left untreated, Joseph has an increased risk of developing hernias, testicular cancer, and fertility problems in the future. Joseph will be receiving assistance from our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF). Fortunately, he is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on July 1. AMHF is requesting $535 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care. “I am glad to have found hope here. Hope that my son will be treated. God bless you,” says Joseph’s mother.

Keo is a 39-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. In his free time, he likes to watch boxing on television, and help around the house and take care of his son. In September 2017, Keo was in an accident and was hit by a car, injuring his lower left leg. He experiences pain and difficulty walking. When Keo learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, he traveled for two hours seeking treatment. On July 4, surgeons at CSC will perform a joint arthrodesis procedure. Now, Keo needs help to fund this $480 procedure. He says, "I hope that after my surgery, I will no longer have any pain or swelling, and can return to work and walk normally."

Soy is a 56-year-old rice farmer from Cambodia. She has four children and four grandchildren, and she enjoys looking after her grandchildren, cooking for her family, and watching television in her free time. Seven years ago, Soy started experiencing hip pain on her left side. She cannot extend her leg normally, and also experiences pain in her neck as well. Fortunately, Soy learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre. At CSC, surgeons can perform a total hip replacement to relieve Soy of her pain and allow her to walk easily. Treatment is scheduled for July 2, and Soy needs help raising $1,025 to pay for this procedure. She says, "I hope that after my operation I will be able to walk normally and return to my work without any difficulty."

Thy is a 45-year-old construction worker from Cambodia. She has one daughter, and likes to watch Khmer television dramas in her free time. Six months ago, Thy developed a cataract in her right eye, causing her vision loss. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside. When Thy learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, she traveled for three and a half hours seeking treatment. On July 4, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in her right eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $211 procedure. She says, "I hope that I will be able to see clearly after my surgery and continue my work at the construction site."
