Meet Gracius, a 22-year-old man living in Kenya. He is currently studying to become a veterinarian and was considered such a promising student that he received a loan through the government to fund his education. His parents live in western Kenya and work as subsistence farmers. Gracius is suffering from an ectopic kidney, a defect in which a kidney is abnormally located (not in its usual position). This causes him a lot of pain and difficulty passing urine properly.
