Meet Seivin, a loving 22-year-old expectant mother from Kenya who loves gospel songs and yogurt! According to our medical partner, Lwala Community Alliance (LCA), “Seivin is married to a small scale farmer who also works at the sugar cane milling site to provide for their family. She is blessed with two lovely children aged five and three and currently in lower primary school." Seivin had dreams of completing her education, getting a good job, and getting married, but never fulfilled those dreams due to the sudden death of both her parents who were killed by robbers in Nairobi. She still hopes to start a small business to sustain her family. With her current pregnancy, Seivin experiences nausea and headaches during evening hours that prevent her from doing her daily chores. Without proper prenatal care, Seivin will continue to deal with these symptoms that could negatively affect the development of her current children and cause complications in her current pregnancy.
