Samuel joined Watsi on February 23rd, 2019. 6 other people also joined Watsi on that day! Samuel's most recent donation supported Tushemerirwe, a woman from Uganda, to fund gynecological surgery.
Samuel has funded healthcare for 3 patients in 1 country.
Tushemerirwe is a woman from Uganda. She is married with two children. Tushemerirwe has had severe lower abdominal pain for three years. She has been diagnosed with uterine fibroids and needs to undergo a total abdominal hysterectomy. The procedure is scheduled for February 18 and will cost $208. Tushemerirwe says, “I will be grateful when my condition is treated.”
Tushabe is a small-scale farmer from Uganda. She is married with seven children. For six months, Tushabe has been experiencing severe lower abdominal bleeding. She has been diagnosed with chronic pelvic pain, degenerative uterine fibroids, and a poorly healed perineal tear. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $208 to fund Tushabe's surgery. On January 31, she will undergo gynecological surgery at our medical partner's care center. Once recovered, Tushabe will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain. Tushabe says, “I wish my hope can be restored to enable me continue with cultivation for the support to my family after surgery.”
Kateba is a gatekeeper from Uganda. He is married and a father of three children. For three years, Kateba has had an inguinal hernia. This hernia causes him pain and discomfort. Fortunately, on January 16, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner's care center. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $249 to fund Kateba's surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently. He says, "I like being with others during my free time."
